"Apex indexed" refers to the automated process that organises and categorises our physical actions into a digital format, driven by technology. Every tap, swipe, or scroll on a touchscreen generates data—information about our actions, preferences, locations, and even the way we interact with the world. This data contributes to the global map of digital information, and has an energy correlation and carbon footprint implication. Can we reclaim autonomy over technology shaping and tracking our daily lives ? We can lean toward mindfulness, digital disconnection, and intentionality to reconnect with the tactile and sensory world. As an artist I try to take notice what is around me, engaging with the world physically and making prints is part of that activity. Transparent user-controlled systems that reasserts control over how technology interfaces with our bodies, to bringing a sense of balance between the digital and physical realms, could be a way forward for future realities to live symbiotically.
