Bev Hayes - Artist and maker of all things print.

Printmaking has been a large part of my art practice for over 30 years, I've always been curious about the printed surface and tactailty of plates & ink pushed into paper. What keeps me hooked on printmaking is the process, from unexpected outcomes to amalgamating materials, I'm always in the pursuit of what would happen if I tried this...

I enjoy every step of making works by hand in a slow process from Digital to Analogue. The methodical pace at which I edition each series is contempletive and also triggers ideas.  

As my ideas are inspired by nature so too is my practice to be observant so not to waste materials. I use up and reuse prints and materials I have to hand, like the tetra pak cartons that have gone on produce some of the bigger larger scale works. Using inks that don't need harsh chemicals to be cleaned away. I often print on offcuts and make backgrounds with left over ink for future projects. 

Every few months I will be releasing works to purchase and I hope you can get a sense of craft and creation behind them. After each edition made, I sign and number to record in the archive, then if you buy,  a certificate of authenticity is given, before carefully packaging to send out to you. 

Starting in 2026, I’ll donate a part of every sale to help protect forests in Sweden — a country that’s taught me so much about caring for nature and recycling in daily life.
